The Riu Palace Tres Islas in Fuerteventura has now been completely updated.

The Riu Palace Tres Islas in Corralejo (Fuerteventura) reopens its doors on October 1, 2007 with completely renovated facilities that make it one of Europe's finest holiday hotels.

Located on the beachfront, the establishment boasts 375 refurbished rooms, and its common areas and spaces have been completely updated with ultra-comfortable facilities and a new spa and wellness centre that offers a wide range of well-being, health and beauty treatments.

In the culinary line, the great novelty is the opening of «Krystal», one of RIU's new line of à la carte restaurants offering the most modern dishes. The «Krystal» line integrates the modern concepts of Fusion Food (a blend of different flavours) and Crossover cuisine (a combination of ingredients from different countries) made with cutting-edge culinary techniques and the most sophisticated technology.

Riu Hotels and ResortsThe restaurant operates without any additional cost to guests and reservations must be made I advance. To date, only three other RIU hotels offer the «Krystal» culinary line, designed to satisfy the most demanding palates. The new Riu Palace Tres Islas has 4 tennis courts (for a charge) with artificial turf and lighting and also has a tennis school for guests.

Furthermore, windsurfing lovers can enjoy their favourite sport right inside the resort.

The establishment has two fresh water swimming pools (one of which is heated in winter) and an additional swimming pool for children. Not only that, a sandy beach with hammocks and a jacuzzi has been created in one of the garden zones. The hotel also has a free wireless LAN Internet zone so that guests with their own computers can connect to the Internet.

The Tres Islas resort was acquired by the RIU chain in the 1990s and reopened in 1995 as the Riu Palace Tres Islas after extensive renovation. Palace hotels are the stellar product in the chain's portfolio. They are characterised by their privileged locations, elegantly designed architecture and use of the finest materials such as woods, curtains, high-end lamps and art work in the décor. Joining these is the top-quality service guests receive.

RIU Hotels & Resorts has 25 hotels in the Canary Islands, 5 of which are on the island of Fuerteventura, where the chain has been present in 1988. RIU began operating in the Canary Islands in 1985.

With more than a hundred hotels in 17 countries, RIU is the world's 27th largest chain, the third largest in Spain in terms of invoicing and rooms and one of the world's top three groups in terms of the quality of its service.
