Hotetur Hotels & Resorts, sponsor of ONUART
As a company involved with the corporation, Hotetur Hotels & Resorts has become a partner of the ONUART Foundation with the aim of helping this entity to reach its long-term goals: promote dialogue through contemporary Spanish art, support understanding between cultures and societies, and encourage multilateralism in Geneva.
The first large project implemented by the ONUART Foundation in Geneva is «the rehabilitation and decoration of Room XX of the Palace of Nations», which is under the responsibility of the contemporary Spanish artist, Miquel Barceló. The project designer has a team of 20 experts specialized in different artistic techniques to create exceptional paintwork for the dome in Room XX. This room will be renamed the «Human Rights and Civilization Alliance Room» after its inauguration, and will become the permanent venue of the recently created Human Right's Council of the United Nations.
This is a private, non-profitable foundation, with both public and private funding, and it is presided over by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. High-level Spanish multinational companies such as Repsol, Telefónica, AGBAR and Hotetur are among the patrons of this foundation.
