The resort, which specialises in families, has become RIU's first All Inclusive hotel in the country
Sunday June 1, RIU Hotels & Resorts inaugurated the ClubHotel Riu Guarana, RIU's first family-oriented hotel in Portugal. The hotel, which opened its doors on schedule, has been warmly received by guests and sector professionals.

We are off to a flying start this inaugural weekend, which leads us to believe that occupancy levels will be high for the rest of the season», commented Pepe Moreno, RIU Hotels & Resorts' Executive Board Member.

This 4-star hotel is located next to the Riu Palace Algarve in Olhos d'Agua and with it, RIU introduces the All Inclusive concept that is so highly regarded by our guests in its Caribbean and Cape Verde hotels. With 500 rooms distributed in two brand-new buildings with two and six storeys, the hotel features three restaurants (including an Asian-themed restaurant), two bars, two swimming pools with hydromassage, a children's swimming pool and spa service, among other facilities.

ClubHotel Riu Guarana is one of the first hotels to incorporate RiuLand, RIU's new children's programme concept that offers two groups - Club 4.7 and Club 8.12 - to engage children between the ages of 4 and 12 all day long with fun-filled activities, especially in groups and outdoors.

Portugal is currently home to two Palace hotels, RIU's most sophisticated category - the Riu Palace Algarve and Riu Palace Madeira - and is now expanding its product line with ClubHotel Riu Guarana, a hotel oriented to younger guests and families.
